Jim was born in Brainerd, Minn., on Oct. 20, 1936 the oldest son of James L. Hardy and Lucille (Caughey) Hardy. After graduating from Washington High School in Brainerd, Jim joined the Navy. He received an honorable discharge in May of 1959 and moved to the Everett area.
Jim worked at Safeway for 39 years. He enjoyed playing bingo, pinochle and cribbage with his family and friends.
Jim is survived by siblings, Rose Mary Bock, Susan Hardy and Floyd (Marlys) Hardy, all of Brainerd, Evelyn (Larry) Kegley, Arlington, Wash., C. Irene (Ed) Neasham, Benton City, Wash, and Wallace (Ruth) Hardy, Hanson, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends are invited to graveside services at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Riverside Union Cemetery in Brainerd.
